Durga Puja 2025
Dear Patrons,
It is with great pleasure that NEEBPA wishes to inform all patrons that this year 2025 Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja and Kali Puja will be celebrated at the Hindu Temple Newcastle.
Durga Puja will be held from Sunday 28th September 2025 Shashthi; Monday 29th Saptami; Tuesday 30th Ashtami; 1st October Nabami and culminating in Dashami followed by Shidur Khela and feasting on 'misthi'. Lakshmi Puja will be on Monday 6th October 2025 and Kali Puja on Monday 20th October 2025. The venue will once again be the Ground Floor Hall of the Hindu Temple, 172 West Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 9QB.
Our Purohits this year will be Shri Krishnendu Mukherjee and Shri Debraj Chatterjee. We at NEEBPA are grateful to both of them for sustaining our Puja over the last few years and for taking on this great responsibility again this year.
Your support is crucial for the success of the Puja, so we look forward to your attendance and participation in these important religious festivals for our local Hindu Community. Please pass on the news to anybody who may be interested in attending.
We are always looking for volunteers before, during and after the Puja to help to set up, carry out and clear up. Please contact us if you will be able to help.
